Department of English

The department of English is a Part of the Department of Humanities and Applied Sciences (H & AS) . The department is a blend of experience and enthusiasm. The department consists of highly qualified Senior Professors, Associate Professors and Assistant Professors.

The department plays an instrumental role in moulding students from the first year itself. The objective of the department is to prepare students to face challenges in a globalised world by imparting intensive training in English Language and Communication Skills ,The department caters to the placement – related needs of the students by training them in areas like Verbal Ability, Group Discussions, Presentation skills ,Interview Techniques, etc. Short term language proficiency courses are also offered by the faculty of the department.

The department of English conducts English Language Communication Skills Lab and Advanced Communication Skills Lab. The licensed Software used for I year and III year communication skills lab is K-Van.
